Salvage Union Starter Set

Hello Salvagers!

Thanks to your immense support we've raised over £90,000 for the Salvage Union Starter Set, unlocking the Sakura. This is the final sticker set of the three, and adds new Sakura systems to the game, which you can stick directly into your Salvage Union Starter Set parts catalogue, or Core Book.




Our next stretch goal for £100,000 adds the adventure 'Thatcher's Mech Base' to the Asset Pack. We're really excited about creating this one as the adventure is silly good fun, and we'd love your support in hitting the goal in the last few days of the campaign.



Thank you all for supporting the Salvage Union Starter Set, it's been a fantastic campaign , and we're really excited to see what stretch goals we can unlock in the final days. Happy Mech Monday!

Thankyou to everyone who entered a Gatecrasher Mech Pattern this week. It was another fantastic round of submissions.

Our favourite was the Retiarius Terebro Mech by blk_ivy, it's a strong industrial build, with a classics inspired name we loved, and was designed only using the free Salvage Union Quickstart showing what you can do even with a limited amount of hardware, congratulations to blk_ivy who wins a free copy of the Salvage Union Starter Set. 

Originally designed around heavy mining and resource capture, the Terebro is a pneumatic impact driver, designed to use a heavy modular mining rig, capable of activating in short drives as a saw, or in a more longwinded format, capable of impact drilling. Either way, the real star is when the system's heat limiters are overridden- a sudden explosion of massive drilling power slammed into a single point, resulting in massive hemorrhaging on mech-scale systems.

In order to prevent overheating, a similarly scaled cooling system has been installed, allowing for the use of active thermal cooling- although this drains batteries, it allows for quick recouperation. However, due to the overwhelmingly resource-management oriented design, this chassis framework is incredibly heavy and has virtually no space for any other form of ranged weaponry, nor even the most basic of hacking tech- this isn't a combat frame afterall, it's a resource capture system. And exceedingly effective when it's up close.

Hey Salvagers,

We wanted to highlight another project which we think is awesome.  Our friends at Hatchling games have just launched Argo, a greek myth inspired Mecha game. It has art by Alex Connolly, who did the amazing blueprint style Mech art within the Salvage Union Core Book.



Inspired by Greek myth and retro cartoons such as Ulysses 31, this narrative focussed Mecha tabletop RPG is designed by the team behind Cryptid Creeks and uses the Paragon System by John Harper.

Hello and Happy Mech Monday Salvagers!

Thanks to all of your support we've raised over £80,000 for the Salvage Union Starter Set and unlocked the Gatecrasher Mech, which will be added to the Starter Set. 

For this Mech Monday we want you to create a Gatecrasher Mech Pattern! Our favourite wins a free copy of the Salvage Union Starter Set.  This will be added to your pledge after the campaign concludes.

How to Submit

You can use any Systems and Modules in the Salvage Union Quickstart, Salvage Union Core Book as well as Rainmaker, False Flag, and We Were Here First! There is no Scrap limit or Tech Level limit, only your System and Module Slots. 

To submit:

ALL submissions must use the "Gatecrasher Mech Monday Template" you can download here.

You can submit in the following ways:

1. Post your completed build in the mech-monday-submissions channel in the Salvage Union Discord

2. Post your submission to Twitter.com tagging @salvageunion with the #mechmonday hashtag.

3. E-mail your submission to [email protected] with the heading 'Mech Monday Submission.'

Final submissions deadline will be by Sunday the 27th of October at 6 PM UTC+1.
